These are my two current rescue dogs- Keegan (the big black and white border collie) and Kaliegh (the wee red headed something or other). We have had over a dozen dogs (we rescue mostly older dogs) through out the years, always at least two at a time.
Their lovely spirits have brought much joy into our lives, and we will always try and have them in our worlds, rescues of course.
If you do not have a dog, then find a way to get some dog energy into your life: go to a dog park, stop dog owners and ask if you can pet their furry friend, walk an elderly neighbors dog, volunteer at a shelter or rescue group, any way to get that positive, loving, and soothing vibe into your life.
If you have kids, teach them how to be around dogs, how to approach them, and how to care for them. Don’t teach them to be afraid. I have seen parents say, oh my child is afraid of dogs, and so of course, the child will be afraid of dogs. I appreciate so much the parents who go out of their way to introduce their kids to dogs, especially when they can’t have their own.
Dogs are very healing creatures. Their love is boundless. And their joy for life is contagious. If you are having a bad day or a bad time of it, find a dog to hug. It may not solve all your problems, but for sure it will bring you a bit of peace, love, positive energy and a smile…
Yours in litheness
